Now live in Washington
Medicaid pays for doula care in a growing number of states — but collecting it means provider enrollment, EDI files, and clean claims. Claudia Health handles every part of that. We're live in Washington, where Apple Health reimburses doulas up to $3,500 per birth.
The problem
Medicaid covers more than 40% of births in the United States, and a growing number of states now pay for doula care. Yet most doulas never bill it — not for lack of wanting to, but because getting paid means enrolling as a Medicaid provider, generating EDI files, and chasing claims. Claudia Health removes every one of those steps.
We generate and submit compliant 837P claims to ProviderOne on your behalf. No clearinghouse, no billing software, no codes to learn.
Follow every claim from submitted to paid, updated throughout the day. If one is denied, you see the reason code and what it means — not just a red X.
Apple Health deposits your reimbursement straight into your own account. We never hold your money — no invoicing, no chasing, no waiting on hold.
How it works

Why doula care matters
Washington covers doula services because the evidence is clear — and pays among the highest rates in the country.
Our mission
There's a maternal health crisis in this country, and it falls hardest on Black, Indigenous, and low-income families. Doulas measurably improve outcomes — but too many can't afford to run the billing side of a practice.
Claudia Health exists to change that. We take the billing off your plate so you can serve more families, sustainably.
Pricing
Claudia Health is free to use while we're getting off the ground. Once we're established we'll charge a flat monthly platform fee — a fixed amount, not a percentage — and we'll email you at least 30 days before it starts.
What won't change: we never take a cut of your reimbursement. A $3,500 birth pays you $3,500, whatever the platform costs.
Questions
You'll need an active Washington ProviderOne provider ID and an NPI. If you're not enrolled yet, we'll walk you through it during onboarding — it's a one-time setup.
Nothing while we're growing — the platform is free to use right now. Once we're established we'll introduce a flat monthly fee, and we'll email you at least 30 days beforehand so nothing is a surprise. What never changes is the commission: we don't take one. Whatever Apple Health pays for your services is yours in full.
Apple Health pays you directly. Your reimbursement is deposited into the bank account you have on file in ProviderOne — the money never passes through us. We submit the claim, track it, and show you when it's paid.
We'll email you the moment a claim is denied, translate the reason into plain language, and help you correct and resubmit. You're never left guessing.
